Molly Lawless,  Junior Journalism Major, Civic Engagement & Responsibility Minor

molly_lawlessAs lead intern of the School of Communication Promotions and Development Team, this is Molly’s first full year on the team. Molly previously shadowed the 2017 interns and was excited for the opportunity to combine elements of both her major and minor into, interviewing, hiring and leading the 2018 team towards COM Week. Along with leading SoC PD Molly is a member of the National Communication Association, Lambda Pi Eta, and currently serves as Treasurer for Illinois State University’s Association for Women in Communications. Molly previously served one semester as Membership and Recruitment chair for AWC where she helped increase their membership by fifteen percent. Outside of the SoC Molly spent one semester as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in ISU’s Family Consumer Science Department and is a two year participant of ISU’s St. Jude Up ’til Dawn event. In summer, 2018, Molly plans to study abroad in Paris, where she hopes to combine her passion for photography and writing in a new culture.

Jessica Konstantelos,
Junior Public Relations Major, Spanish Minor

jessica_konstantelosIn addition to being on the School of Communication Promotion and Development Team Jessica is an active member of her social sorority, Delta Zeta, having served as a Standards Chairwoman, and currently serving as a Panhellenic Delegate. As Panhellenic Delegate she acts as a liaison between her sorority and the rest of greek life community. Not only is she a member of her sorority, she is also an active member of Illinois State University’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter. Jessica also works part-time at her favorite boutique, Francesca’s. She is looking forward to continuing gaining experience as lead intern for the 2018 – 2019 SoC PD team.


Daniel Gee,
Senior Public Relations Major, Psychology Minor

danny_geeDanny is proud to close his final year at Illinois State University (ISU) on a high-note by being a part of the School of Communication Promotions and Development Team (SoC PD). In his four-year tenure at ISU, Danny has been heavily involved across campus. From Student Manager/Admissions Tour Guide to being a Teaching Assistant, Danny has been able to educate students from an internal and external perspective. From a leadership standpoint, Danny served as President of Phi Sigma Pi, Vice President of Lambda Pi Eta and as an Account Executive for the Public Relations Student Society of America. Prior to SoC PD, Danny interned at the Office of Admissions and State Farm, which were experiences that helped fuel his passion for storytelling. Following graduation, Danny plans to pursue a career in the agency public relations setting and hopes continue his journey towards becoming a communications professional.


Molly Waasdorp,
Senior Public Relations Major

molly_waasdorpIn addition to being a School of Communication Promotion and Development Team intern, Molly is a member of Lambda Pi Eta, the honor society of the National Communication Association, and Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society. She previously achieved a degree in communication from Sauk Valley Community College, where she served as Student Trustee and was a member of the Student Advisory Committee and the Illinois Community College Board. In an effort to leave a positive impact wherever she goes, Molly has been involved with 103.3 WZND Radio, the Vidette, Public Relations Student Society of America, and served as an undergraduate teaching assistant. Recently, Molly has enjoyed working with the administrative technologies team, where she plays an active role in maintaining server security, coding email correspondence in HTML, creating SQL queries, and serving as a liaison between tech professionals and ISU faculty, staff and students.


Madeline Rose,
Junior Public Relations Major, Writing Minor

madeline_roseStill wishing she was studying abroad and living like an actual Roman would, Rose will always rave about the amazing experience she had in Rome, Italy. Her time spent abroad was truly one-of-a-kind; she was able to combine her love of traveling, learning, food, friendship and photography. In addition to interning on the School of Communication Promotions and Development Team, Rose found her passion within ISU’s Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). Previously writing for their blog and newsletter, Rose is now serving as the Development Chair Manager and Co-Leading the Fundraising Chair. She also recently attended PRSSA’s National Assembly in Miami, Florida as their chosen delegate. She looks forward to continuing leadership positions senior year.

Manny Carrera, Senior Public Relations Major

manny_carreraManny found his passion of Public Relations and design within Illinois State University’s Chapter of Public Relations Student Society of America, serving on the Executive Board as the 2016-2017 Director of Digital Media. Manny has also worked as lead intern at Digital Vision Enterprise, a digital media agency in Chicago. Apart from being on the SoC PD Team this year, Manny is also working on a Variety Show for the Student Television Workshop as designer, writer, actor and social media manager. Manny has a deep interest in visual communication and entertainment PR, and hopes to land a job at a creative agency or corporation.


Morgan Gurican,
Junior Organizational Leadership Communication Major

morgan_guricanAside from being a part of the SoC PD Team, Morgan works as a Student Leasing Agent for Young America Realty during the school year. She is also a member of the sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma. Throughout her membership, she has stayed actively involved, holding the leadership positions of Public Relations Chairman and Vice President. These positions gave her the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. and Baltimore to attend leadership conferences with other executive officers from all over the country. This summer, Morgan will be interning with Country Financial Insurance at their corporate office here in Bloomington as a Social Media Engagement intern. Upon graduating in the Spring of 2019, she hopes to land a job in a corporation in Chicago and travel as much as possible.


Sabrina Khachi,
Junior Public Relations major, Peace & Conflict Resolution Minor

sabrina_khachiAlong with being an intern on the SoC PD Team, Sabrina fundraises for the Redbird Rising Campaign at Illinois State University’s telefund. In her previous semesters, she has been an active member of the business professional fraternity Phi Gamma Nu. In addition, she has interned for Palace Events, a wedding and event business located in Bloomington. She has also interned for Diversity Advocacy at ISU planning and hosting events to foster civility and raising cultural awareness in students, faculty and staff. During her summers throughout college, Sabrina works at the boat tour company Shoreline Sightseeing in downtown Chicago. Sabrina hopes to continue practicing her creative writing and problem solving skills to land a career as a public relations professional in the movie industry.
