WGLT’s 2013 Radio Faces dinner will be held on Friday, November 1. This year’s guest, Audie Cornish, hosts NPR’s daily news magazine All Things Considered® with Robert Siegel and Melissa Block. Previously, she served as host of Weekend Edition Sunday; reported from Capitol Hill for NPR News, specializing in financial industry policy; was part of NPR’s six-person reporting team during the 2008 presidential election, and had a featured role in coverage of the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Radio Faces includes a meet-and-greet cocktail party, followed by a sit-down dinner and Cornish’s multi-media presentation. She will share her experiences working in today’s media with ample time to take audience questions. GLT Radio Faces tickets are: $100 for cocktail reception, full dinner with wine, and presentation; $65 for full dinner with wine, and presentation. Tickets are available only through GLT at 309-438-2255 or www.wglt.org . Deadline for ticket sales is Friday, Oct 25. Sponsored by COUNTRY Financial, all proceeds benefit the GLT Equipment Fund.
